Reminded once again....

How wonderful life can be when one chooses to concentrate on the positive events life throws at you on a daily basis!

I arrived at my friend Jeanie and her husband Dougs farm known as Dojea Stables on Tuesday, July 2nd and life has been so wonderful every single day.

The farm is mainly a Standard Bred Horse farm but there's so much more to it. Jeanie runs Dojea's Nest which is an aviary where she raises Hyacinth Macaws.

They raise their own hogs and beefaloes to supply the family with their meat. Everything here is truly free ranged, having been enjoying Jeanies wonderful meals I can absolutely tell the difference it makes.

I am enjoying all of natures beauty while here that I haven't needed to leave the ranch in order to do anything. The birding here is amazing. I have seen birds in their natural environments and the images I've captured not just on my camera but in my kind will make me day dream for the rest of my life.

A Red-headed woodpecker feeding it's baby. A hard species to find and much less feeding a baby.

A large group of Yellow Warblers which never flock together but this was a very rare find.  I asked in a bird identification group and was told that they might be getting ready to migrate. I just enjoyed watching them for a while bathing in the puddle left from the rain the night before.

A Downy Woodpecker amongst the cat tails....

A baby Red-headed woodpecker sunning itself...

Canada geese in the swamp....

Snapping turtles on the trails.

A Scarlet Tanager is a beautiful jewel in the trees.

There's miles and miles of trails here. It's true what Doug told me that if I stayed on the trails I wouldn't get off the property. The first few days I walked everywhere but then I needed the golf cart in order to explore further and further out. I would have to spend way more than a month in order to discover everything here.

Life is always exciting, and busy here. There are always chores to get done and two and four legged creatures that need tending to.

I love all of the house pets here. There's Frank the always cheerful Budgie, Sheldon the Timbrado singing canary, Mia the Hyacinth and then there's the dogs.

Lenord the baby boxer loves to play with Mouse, the grand old lady of the house.

There's Milo and Chalupa the chihuahuas.

Kimmie and Lilly the Cavaliers.
They all love Isabel, she is known as Bug to all.   She is one of Doug and Jeanies grandkids. She lives right down the road from them with their daughter Alyssa.

Yep, life keeps on reminding me how wonderful it can be every single day when you choose to concentrate on the positive!
