So it has taken me almost a week to do an entry because life in Indiana has been incredible.
I had a hard time saying goodbye to Quinton and Matt. They are what I'm going to remember lovingly as my Laurel and Hardy!
I was happy to be able able to help Quinton with making his dream of an aviary at home. Until we see each other again, goodbye my friend!
I hooked up fairly early in order to get on the road and up to Indiana. Motel Miguel almost didn't make it out of the driveway because the aviary was built after we had parked it. I think we had two inches of room but it made it out.....
The drive up to Kentucky was nice and sunny, picturesque rolling hills!
I had not seen so many barns, but then coming from Southern California we have no need for them. I have always been fascinated by them and try to take a picture of any I see.
It started raining when I got to Louisville. It wasn't bad, there was some road construction going on that delayed my drive a bit.
Once I got up into Indiana the rain really started coming down, at times I had a hard time driving because of not being able to see the road.
Going through Indianapolis was tough, white knuckle driving but by the time I made it up to Fort Wayne the skies were pretty much cleared up and I was able to make it up to my friend Jeanies home easily.
Dojea Stables is where Doug and Jeanie Rheinheimer call home.
Jeanie and I have known each other through Facebook and when she found out that my route was going to take me right by her home she invited me to stay with her family at their 380 acre horse ranch called Dojea Stables. It is located in the Northeast corner of Indiana in a small town called Wolcotville. They raise Standard Bred horses and compete with them in sulkie racing.
Jeanies latest addition to the family is Lenord, he's a beautiful boxer puppy that is growing by leaps and bounds!
Motel Miguel got parked once again for a month. It's always nice to get to my destination safely even though it's nerve racking moving from one spot to another I'm starting to get comfortable with the workings of it all. Now let the fun begin in Indiana!
