Getting ready to say goodbye Nashville.

It's 02:30 in the morning and tomorrow I leave Nashville for Wolcotville, Indiana. It seems that whenever the time comes when I'm getting close to leaving I seem to loose sleep. The bit of sadness sets in when I realize that my time is ending in one city and the excitement of moving on to meet new friends adds up to waking up very early or not being able to fall asleep. Thinking back on the great time I've had while here and when four weeks ago seems so long ago.

Remembering back to that first morning, opening Motel Miguel's door and seeing this!  Who has ever seen some hens helping the handy man taking off forms from the freshly poured cement?  I certainly hadn't!

Or that incredible evening when I got to visit with the baby giant Anteater named Bernardo.

If that wasn't enough then I got to not only see but touch, play with and feed some of the worlds rarest animals at the Nashville Zoo and all thanks to my amazing friend Quinton aka Bryan to his family.

The Okapi had the softest velvety fur. He was so friendly and loved being scratched on the chin.

The baby Clouded Leopards were full of life and ever so playful....

Making new friends with Manny and Kyle. I wish them both the best and hope I get an invitation to their wedding!

Remembering the great fun I had at Percy Priest Lake on the pontoon boat for Justin's birthday. I'm sure he will always remember this surprise that his wife Kate had for him. Everyone was so kind to me and included me in their adventure.

Or the history making day of June 26, 2015 when equality was granted to all by the Supreme Court of the United States. I had to make a tote for myself to remember this very special day. My Bill would have been so proud because he never thought this day would come. Well it did and it's here to stay forever.

I really enjoyed helping Quinton make one of the most beautiful aviaries I've ever seen. It's not the size that matters but the end result. It took the entire month I was here, and I didn't do much comparing to the help he had from his family, but non the less I'm glad to have been a part of it.
MotelMiguel was right there in the middle of it all!

Thank you Quinton and Matt for your great hospitality. Without you I wouldn't of been able to get to know your city and I really appreciate it more than you will ever know. Larry it was a pleasure meeting you and Theresa and hopefully if any of you ever travel to Los Angeles you are always welcomed in my home.

I stayed back for a week in order to see the Fourth of July celebration. Unfortunately it rained but Quinton and I braved it and got to see some of the fireworks. I couldn't use my regular camera so was forced to use my cell phone but a bad picture is better than no picture.

I had the chance to do a walking tour of downtown Nashville and it's truly a beautiful city and I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting.

Thank you Nashville, it was a huge pleasure getting to know you!
