Sunflowers

Do you ever see something so beautiful it stops you in your tracks? We did a couple of days ago and just had to get off the road and go see it closer. There's a field full of sunflowers off route 462 right as you enter Wrightsville, Pennsylvania.
The field was so bright because the flowers were facing in out direction. We pulled into the feed store and asked if it was possible for us to take some photos of the flowers. The lady was so nice and told me to go right ahead and take all we wanted.
Some of them were as big or bigger than a dinner plate!

The field was about twenty acres big and it was planted in neat rows. I got in the middle and Carol took some pictures of me.

We started noticing all the little creatures that lived and fed on the flowers from grasshoppers...

To butterflies.....

And tons of bees all about busily going from one flower to another.

Sometimes you do whatever it takes to get what you perceive to be the best picture!
But this is what the result is and you realize it was worth it.

My partner in crime!
Thank you once again Carol for this experience.

Pretty soon the flower heads will be drying up and everyone can enjoy the seeds.

Get out there and discover the beauty all around you. You never know what might be just around the bend in that road you never have gone down on!

PEACE!
