Halloween in North Carolina

Thanks to my friends here for taking me over to Wake Forest to one of the most beautiful streets I have seen in a while for Halloween displays. Since we did this after supper I didn't even bring my camera and took all these pictures with my cellphone.

The homes are absolutely beautiful and everyone in the neighborhood seem to participate and decorate there homes. Some go all out and others just have a pumpkin or lantern but the spirit is all around.
At this gorgeous home Captain America awaited all the children. I had to go up close and get his picture!

There were lots of parents out with their children all dressed up as their favorite characters...
Plenty of adults were also dressed up at the homes we walked by....

My absolute favorite scene of the evening was this father with his baby dressed as a shark. The memories he was capturing were so precious and some day when they are both older they will look back on them with joy. Me, I will remember them as pure love of a father for his child....

I had the opportunity to meet the lady who started the tradition on this street and unfortunately I don't remember her name but I want to thank her for doing such a marvelous thing... The following pictures are of her magnificent home...

We then continued our walk....

A couple of the homes were not decorated for Halloween but they were so beautiful I had to take pictures...

I will need to go back and see this beautiful home which is now a museum. I couldn't get a good picture because it sits far back from the street but at least I got a picture of the sign!

I hope everyone has, or has had, a great Hallows Eve and may it be a safe and happy one.

Goodbye Wrightsville, PA.....

Normally this is the way someone gets chased off of a property but this property....

How little did I know that this tough looking chick was going to turn out to be one of the softest, funniest and most entertaining friends so far on my journey. I'll tell you how, it was the pearls!
I really didn't know you much Carol and Annemarie before getting here but almost two months later you couldn't hide your huge hearts from me....
It didn't take long for those smiles to shine...
You welcomed me into your home and showed me as much of the beauty your state of Pennsylvania has on a daily basis from the first night I got here....

The rest of the country has heard of Lancaster County and the must see Amish community. You guys took me around and showed me how beautiful the area is and why everyone that gets a chance should visit it.

I will never forget Conowingo Dam and the great symbol of our country the Bald Eagles. It was truly incredible seeing them fishing merely yards away from us.

Visiting the famous Haines Shoehouse with you was so much fun....

The National Aquarium was beautiful and getting to visit it with both of you made for a great day...

Thank you so much Donna for having Carol and myself as visitors to your home in one of the most beautiful little towns I have ever been to, Benezette, PA. Your famous elk and their fall bugling were spectacular.

Getting to see them bugling within feet from me was a skin tingling experience....

There's no way to realize the power of the males in rut until you've seen them in person and hear their antlers clashing against each other....
Majestic comes to mind when you see a huge male elk bull in his prime....

The camp fire was so peaceful...

Thank you both for showing me the beauty of your secret lake...

The unforgettable beauty your town has will always bring a peaceful thought to my mind...

Little did I know that going to Indian Steps and experiencing my first real powwow would give me the inspiration for a new hobby...

I think I'm going to love doing beadwork. The meaning and purpose of doing it gave me an inner peace that I got lost in for many hours.
Now MotelMiguel will always be a part of me in this piece. The picture Kevin took of his barn with my trailer in front of it left a permanent scene in m mind of what my entire trip and journey is all about.

Annemarie I want to thank you for taking me to Phylladelphia and to its beautiful museum. Now I can say that I have been to it.....
The famous enough Rocky steps....
Being able to see two couples openly showing the love for each other here has shown me how far we have come towards equality in the year since I've been gone from home...
The first one was inside the museum where my camera didn't focus quick enough because of the lighting but looking at the result will always remind me of the kiss at the museum...
And the second was outside, on the famous steps and the peace I saw in them just sitting there oblivious to the thousands of people from all over the world around them...

And to these two beautiful young ladies. Moedi and Aisha I want to thank you for making me a part of your special day. I was fortunate enough to attend the history making wedding of April Deboer and Jayne Rowse back in August in Detroit which made it possible for your wedding to take place just like any other wedding in the USA.
And thank you once again Carol and Annemarie for introducing me to these beautiful ladies.

Carol how can I forget the auction where you were accused of being a member of PETA just because you were the one to get caught taking pictures.....Hahahahahaha!
You put me n many situations that are unforgettable....
But you are truly one of a kind yourself...

Annemarie don't think I've forgotten you and your sweetness. Thank you for showing me that you really aren't a nun.....

There's so pictures that I can post here that would remind me of the wonderful time I had here with you two but there's just no space for it. I leave a piece of my heart with you two and know that I have stollen a piece of yours. Enjoy your new home, I'm so happy that you found one which hopefully bring you many years of happiness.

I can't forget Jake. He is a doll and glad I was able to help him in his time of need!

I have to stop writing now because the tears are flowing knowing that I will be gone from you two in just a few hours. Yes I woke up at three in the morning to write this because a new adventure awaits me. Big hugs and kisses to the both of you. Hopefully you won't see this until I'm gone because I don't want to start tearing up again as I get on the road!

Love you and know that I will miss you and until we see each other again.....
